Key Stage Two

Our commitment to excellence in teaching and learning continues at Key Stage Two. While the curriculum, as in Key Stage One, is based on the National Curriculum, it is not restricted by it. Our pupils thrive on stimulating and challenging tasks designed to promote risk taking and resilience. They are also encouraged to be active participants in their learning and to take ownership of their progress.

Our pupils learn to work independently and in groups, and develop excellent thinking, organisational and collaborative skills. Cognitive assessments undertaken at the beginning of the academic year are instrumental in identifying potential and allow us to hone our teaching strategies in response to learning styles and abilities. The specialist teaching of French, PE, Music and Swimming throughout Prep, is enhanced at Key Stage Two by the introduction of Food and Nutrition and Computing.

We enjoy busy and purposeful days in Prep and trips and residential adventures but most of all we learn in a safe, fun and happy atmosphere.
