Music plays a significant role at St Catherine’s and there are many ways for the girls to get involved with music outside of lesson time. We have an experienced team of peripatetic teachers who offer individual lessons with the school being used as an Associated Board centre.
There are whole school concerts and informal concerts throughout the year. Girls are able to participate in the St Catherine’s Choir, the St Catherine’s Orchestra and the Woodwind ensemble. There are other ensembles such as the Production Band that are set up for a shorter part of the year. The Music department welcomes all and students are also encouraged to form their own bands and ensembles and use the department to rehearse at lunchtimes or after school.
