European Day of Languages

Over the course of the week beginning 27 September, pupils from all year groups took part in a range of activities and competitions designed to celebrate language and culture from around the world.

Classroom activities ranged from playing lotto in Maths lessons, Eiffel Tower model building, a French storytelling workshop in Prep, a Spanish interactive theatre performance for Years 7 and 8, and making paella and quiche in Food Technology. Year 8 and 9 pupils took part in a foreign language poetry competition, girls from Years 4-13 took part in a world cuisine competition and a charity sale (raising £400 for the Young Minds mental health charity), and Senior girls were able to take part in a world art competition and the 50 Language Challenge.
