LANGUAGES WEEK

26 September was the European Day of Languages, and we spent the week celebrating different languages and cultures from around the world.

In Prep, the Year 6 pupils enjoyed a French storytelling session, Year 8 took part in an interactive German theatre session, and the Year 9 and 12 pupils were instructed in the fine art of Flamenco dancing. In addition, our Year 8 and Year 9 pupils have been completing foreign-language haikus and calligrams as part of the Poetry Competition. Food and Nutrition lessons focused on recipes from around the world, and pupils across the year groups took part in a World Cuisine competition and cake sale raising money for the School’s nominated charity, Mary’s Meals.
